![]() ![]() The weapon numbers are: yle="font-family: Arial,Helvetica font-size: 11px font-weight: bold ">1 = gauntlet 2 = machine gun 3 = super shotgun 4 = grenade launcher 5 = rocket launcher 6 = lightning gun (shaft) 7 = railgun 8 = plasma gun 9 = bfg (big fucking gun)It's quite good if you bind all weapons, where is not very important, but that you do it. The following shows you how to bind your weapons: yle="font-family: Arial,Helvetica font-size: 11px font-weight: bold ">bind KEY "weapon X"KEY means the key you want to press for the weapon, and X must be replaced by a number. In this way, I can reach all important features without leaving the control keys with my fingers. I use Q,E,R,F,C,X and Y for weapons, 0-9 are my team messages. Most pla yers also bind important weapons (rocket launcher, lightning gun or shotgun) around the movement keys. Some pla yers use the cursor-keys, but it's more comfortable using w-a-s-d. Most pla yers have their movement keys as w-a-s-d, because around those keys you've already got several Quake 3 keys. Here are some binds necessary for your movement: yle="font-family: Arial,Helvetica font-size: 11px font-weight: bold ">bind W "+forward" // by pressing w going forwardīind S "+back" // by pressing s going backwardīind A "+moveleft" // by pressing a strafe leftīind S "+moveright" // by pressing d strafe rightīind ALT "+speed" // by pressing alt you walkīind CTRL "+movedown" // by pressing ctrl crouchīind SPACE "+moveup" // by pressing space jumpYou mustn't use these exact binds, instead you should change the buttons to the keys you prefer. If you can't strafe, you can’t run (jump) away. If have poor movement, you'll die faster. Is there something that I didn’t like…yess.the bunny jump that for several times cause me some frustration. The next important config setup in Quake 3 is your movement. What impress me a lot, appart from the design, is the amount of good ideas tha increase the gameplay and finally the very coherant storyline □ Gameplay is great too, between searching, a kind of arcade gaming like a scroll game and heavy combat which is totally out of a what is expected for a ‘toy story’ theme. Go on, play it, you’ll have fun!įinally I try this one out, I believe at the first view that it could be something more for a funny run with beautifull texture and nothing else.īut what a smash… there is a strong storyline, design is great and make me think back to the approach of Hellsrag regarding conceptual grandness ( )ĭesign of model including items and weapons are neat and perfectly fitting the theme so do voice acting (with some references that even make you laugh more than one time). Maybe that could be worked on for future releases.Īll in all though a great experience and one that I would thoroughly recommend. Somehow I managed to get through but was generally very disappointed with the eventual ending. I worked out that I had to get the hatch cover off somehow but it was really difficult with the flamethrower pushing you off all the time. Countless rockets seemed to have no effect at all. With the final boss I found it very difficult to know what I was supposed to do. A guidance system on the rocket launcher would have been good and there was no secondary fire action on any of the weapons. Weapon aiming is not all it should be and I found that enemies could reach me from way off but often I could not reach them with the same weapon. In particular, in the factory trying to jump off the ramps onto the moving trellises did not always work and I had to noclip a couple of times to move on. The bell tune has already been mentioned but occasionally the bunny hopping didn’t quite work for me. it really is a delight.Ī couple of issues. It actually runs very smoothly for the most part and once you get the hang of the weapons and general movement, bunny hopping, ivy climbing etc. Obviously the voice work needs some improvement but Klem already mentioned that. I would recommend that you play it and make up your own mind. Well I thought this was really great!! A breath of fresh air. The Replay Experience Experiment aka TREE. ![]()
